Monument valley or a masterpiece of nature
Monument Valley is located on the border of Arizona and Utah in the USA, and is an iconic valley of sandstone sculpted rock formations. It is one of the most fascinating landscapes and one of the most photographed places on earth. The bright red color gives these wonderful landscapes a special appeal. Many feel that without color they would lose all their attractiveness. For that reason, you will only occasionally see a photo of the Valley Monument in black and white.
And yet, I decided to go against the current, and deprive my landscapes of their main charm and cruelly strip them of their color, making them monochrome. I did so because to me this incredible valley is not only a magical interplay of colors, but also a reflection of the dramatic multimillion-year history of our mortal Earth, its emergence from the volcano of the Universe and the painstaking work of nature over thousands of years creating this masterpiece...
